Vega Trails Tremors In The Static

Vega Trails is a new collaborative project between Milo Fitzpatrick of Portico Quartet and Jordan Smart of Mammal Hands. Taking their name from the Carl Sagan novel Contact (the Vega system), the duo use their debut LP Tremors In The Static to explore even more outré sounds that don’t fit in their other formations. Inspired in large part by Fitzpatrick’s voracious listening habits during the lockdown, this project sees him folding in influences as disparate as Swedish fiddle music and Indian Classical into a sound all its own. In Smart he has found a similarly-minded conspirator.
