STL Silent State

The mysterious producer STL had a prolific streak in the late aughts/early 2010s where he put together a string of stellar releases on his own Something imprint as well as Perlon and Stryrax. Crested within that era was Silent State, an exemplary slice of deep house that smallville is now bringing back on vinyl for the first time since its initial 2009 release. The A side’s title track really stretches out across its lengthy runtime, but never gets too hot under the collar, while the closing ‘From A Distance’ gets a little rockier, whilst continuing to envelope into it's conscious.
