Various Artists Belle (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Acclaimed Japanese director/animator Mamoru Hosoda’s film Belle tells the tale of a troubled young high school student growing up in the social media age. Inspired in part by the original 1756 French version of Beauty and the Beast, the animation adds a modern sheen to the 1991 Disney version reflective of its futuristic story arc. The soundtrack includes versions of songs included in the movie as performed by its star Suzu Naito (the actress Kaho Nakamura) as well as her virtual avatar Belle in Japanese. Also included are four takes in English sung by Kylie McNeill who plays Belle in the dubbed version.
