Created in tribute to Vieux Tarka Toureé’s father, the legendary Ali Farka Touré, Ali sees them all reimagine a scattered collection of hits and b sides from his storied catalogue. The end result is a fascinating look at the way music is passed down through generations. Vieux and Khruangbin’s takes on tracks like ‘Savanne’ are both reverential and newly explorative in equal measure.
